Each track of the Asanamix albums is like a “yoga module” containing one or more asanas (poses) in a sequence. They are designed to be interchangeable so you can create your own sequences.
You can make your own sequences by downloading or copying the tracks to iTunes,Windows Media Player,or any other MP3 software that allows you to define playlists. You make a personalized workout by creating a playlist and inserting the Asanamix modules in the order you prefer.
For a complete practice, your playlist should begin with one of the warmup sequences and contain at least one each of the following,in any order:
- forward bend
- back bend
- side stretch
- twist
- balance pose
Your playlist should conclude with one of the meditation tracks,or audio of your own choosing for a self-guided meditation.
Each module starts and ends in the same position, and there are four possibilities:
- mountain pose [M]
- seated (any comfortable way) [S]
- child pose [C]
- lying down face up (savasana) [L]
Each module is marked with a letter in [brackets] showing its start and end position. To change between positions, there are short transitional tracks provided. Any time you are going from one module to another that has a different start/end position, you can insert one of these transitions. If you don’t have both Asanamix CDs,you can download any transitions you are missing for free here.
We suggest you insert some less difficult modules between the more vigorous ones, particularly if you are crafting a longer workout. At the same time, don’t cheat yourself! Make sure you are realizing your full potential.
