Who is it for?

travel yoga on the beachAsanamix modules are designed to supplement a regular practice in instructor-led yoga classes. Asanamix is great when:

  • you can’t make it to a class
  • you want to practice at odd hours
  • you are traveling
  • you need a quick lift during the day
  • you want to explore yoga on your own

Asanamix is meant for yogis and yoginis who are familiar with common asanas and sequences. You don’t need to be an expert,but this should not be your first experience with yoga. If you’re just getting started,have a look here to find a good beginners’ class in your area.

The audio modules are meant to provide simple guidance so you can focus on what your body needs during your practice. You don’t need to worry about missing a step or forgetting which side you started on. They are not meant to teach you the asanas,or yoga in general.

If you’re not familiar with a pose or sequence,you can skip it or exclude it from your customized practice. Many instructors are willing to demonstrate poses before or after a class. Some even take requests for the class itself! You should ask your favorite teacher about any poses you’re interested in learning.

Advanced yogis and yoginis should feel free to take the poses further in any way you know how. Be sure to listen to your body,but if you know what you are doing then go for it!
